What is Ombré powder brows?
Powder Brows are a popular trend in semi-permanent make-up. With Ombré Powder Brows, the start of the eyebrows is lightly shaded, with an increasingly darker result towards the tips. With this technique, the eyebrows are pigmented in a subtle way.
For whom/when are PMU Ombré powder brows suitable?
We will start the treatment by filling out an intake form. We will discuss your wishes and the possibilities. Then your eyebrows will be carefully measured and drawn and we will determine the right shape and color together. After we have created the perfect shape, I will start applying the semi-permanent make-up. A first treatment takes about 3 hours.
The treated area may look a little red and possibly slightly swollen. This side effect often disappears within a few hours. After the treatment, the color is always about 40% darker for the first 5 to 7 days than the color that was chosen together with you as the end result. This has to do with the natural healing process of the skin. Only after about 4 to 6 weeks you can see the full result because the skin has then fully recovered. It is also possible that small scabs/flakes may appear after the treatment. This is part of the recovery process of the skin.
New permanent make-up is comparable to a graze. Poor care and/or unhygienic treatment can cause wound infections and scar tissue. This can lead to a less beautiful end result. Therefore, follow the aftercare instructions as closely as possible. This reduces the chance of side effects and makes the end result more beautiful.
Day 1-3: The color will appear darker than the final result
Day 3-7: Small scabs will form and the skin will peel a little.
Day 7-10: Up to 60% of the pigment has been shed. The rest will settle into the skin.
After 14 days: The color will gradually become darker again and will have reached its final color and shape after 4 to 6 weeks.
The touch-up takes place after 6 weeks after the first treatment and is scheduled at the end of the 1st treatment. The aftercare serves to perfect the eyeliner and possibly to give the color a little more intensity.
After 6 weeks, the aftercare takes place. During this treatment, any corrections can still be made to the shape and color. Ombré powder brows stay beautiful for an average of 1.5 – 2 years. Just like any form of semi-permanent make-up, Ombré powder brows should be touched up every one to two years to maintain their color and intensity. A touch-up session ensures that the pigment is well anchored in the skin so that the result lasts longer. When you can best do this touch-up also depends on your skin type, your care rituals, your lifestyle and the extent to which and how often you expose your skin to the sun/sunbed.
